Malvern campus

This campus has more than 500 acute beds. Our facilities include an emergency department and an intensive care unit. Operating theatres are staffed 24 hours a day.

Team

Cabrini Malvern has a specialised obstetric anaesthetic roster, staffed by consultant anaesthetists with a special interest in obstetrics, covering 24 hours a day.

Our newborn babies are cared for by our team of paediatricians who have a special interest in the newborn period. They provide an on-call roster and are available for any emergencies. We have a special care nursery for any new arrivals who require extra support, including those who arrive prematurely from 34 weeks onwards.

Our postnatal care is provided within the award winning Cabrini Gandel Wing in Malvern. During your stay you will be supported by our specially trained lactation consultants and have a one on one consultation with our women’s health physiotherapy team.

We have a team of midwives who specialise in education. Our birth classes include teaching the Lamaze technique, baby first aid sessions and classes for grandparents to bring them up to date too.

Birth suite

Our birth suite provides a 24 hour fetal assessment unit for you and your baby throughout pregnancy. If you are ever concerned about your well-being or that of your unborn baby please phone our midwives on (03) 9508 1261.

Pregnancy app: EVE

We have developed our own pregnancy app called EVE which will guide you through your pregnancy and provide you with valuable information, like what to bring with you to hospital for your birth and the recovery period.
